She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS), Full Member of the Division of Forensic Psychology, and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Dr Jones specialises in working with individual with Personality Difficulties and has a wealth experience providing psychological services on the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway across London in addition to her Expert Witness assessment work across Criminal and Family Courts and Parole Boards. This has included individual and group treatment for offenders within secure settings, consultation and advice on risk assessment and management to staff, pathway planning, staff training and supervision. Dr Jones is currently employed as the Programme Director for the Forensic Mental Health MSc at the Centre for Psychiatry, Queen Mary University of London (Russell Group).
Dr Jones has experience working across a range specialist forensic mental health settings including a Therapeutic Community for offenders with Personality Disorder, CAMHS Tier 4 services, and Learning Disability Services. She is trained and experienced in the administration and interpretation of an extensive range of forensic risk assessment tools in addition to a wide range of psychometric instruments for both assessment and evaluative purposes including cognitive testing, personality, and risk inventories. Dr Jones has experience of giving evidence as an expert witness within both Family and Criminal Court proceedings, in addition to oral evidence at CPA and MAPPA meetings.
Dr Jones’ main clinical and research interests are in the area of personality disorder and offending behaviour in addition to attachment and family dysfunction. She regularly delivers lectures in these areas and has also presented at a number of related conferences.
